Adam Sandler Is Trying To Find Himself In Spaceman First Trailer

The film is directed by Swedish filmmaker Johan Renck, his first film since 2008 with ing Nancy. Renck since then has made a name for himself as a music video director with David Bowie’s Blackstar one of his videos.

This sci-fi drama is based on the novel, The Spaceman of Bohemia. Sandler is Jakub, the Czech Republic’s first ever Astronaut who goes on a solitary mission. Reality kicks in when he realises the life on Earth he left behind might not be waiting for him, including his wife (played by Carey Mulligan)

I’ve said before and will say again Adam Sandler is great at serious acting and Spaceman looks riveting.

Six months into a solitary research mission to the edge of the solar system, an astronaut, Jakub (Adam Sandler), realizes that the marriage he left behind might not be waiting for him when he returns to Earth. Desperate to fix things with his wife, Lenka (Carey Mulligan), he is helped by a mysterious creature from the beginning of time he finds hiding in the bowels of his ship. Hanuš (voiced by Paul Dano) works with Jakub to make sense of what went wrong before it is too late. Directed by Johan Renck and based on the novel Spaceman of Bohemia, the film also stars Kunal Nayyar, Lena Olin, and Isabella Rossellini.

Spaceman also stars Carey Mulligan, Kunal Nayyar, Lena Olin, with Isabella Rossellini and Paul Dano. You can watch the film exclusively on Netflix from 1st March 2024.
