Where Do You Belong? Watch First Divergent Trailer To Find Out!

As another Young Adult flick disappears into the wilderness with Mortal Instruments, the next film to challenge the crown for best Young Adult film Divergent has a familiar spin but where do you belong? Watch first trailer.

Based on the popular YA novels by Veronica Roth, Divergent is set in a Dystopian society where people are split into groups according to their personalities. Those who don’t in are called Divergent and are considered dangerous, a threat to smooth running of the so called perfect society. Tris Prior (Shailene Woodley)  is one of those struggling to fit in somewhere and when she s a group she soon discovers she has what it takes to stop a more powerful ‘Divergent’ group a even bigger threat to everyone.

Let’s get one thing straight this shows off alot of similarities to The Hunger Games especially in the action and a heroine fighting for her life in a struggle that could change the fabric of the society forever. Whilst the trailer showcases the action elements we do also get a brief glimpse into a possible love interest for Tris and in her trainer Trailer four (Theo James)

[Update 27th August] A brand new Featurette has appeared online for Divergent which delves into the film’s storyline with a little more detail. To anyone who is not familiar with the world the film is based in we do get a better understanding of those factions from the cast whist getting an sneak peek behind the scenes especially Tris big ‘jump’. Kate Winslet who plays Jeanine really shows of her ion in the project and she is an actress who renowned for picking solid projects most of the time so fans of the books (Allegiant the final book out October on book) could see this as a positive sign for the film.

Divergent at the moment is slated for a 21st March 2014 UK, Irish and USA release date, the film stars also  Miles Teller, Jai Courtney, Zoe Kravitz, Maggie Q, Ansel Elgort, Mekhi Phifer, Ray Stevenson and Ashley Judd.
