New Gladiator 2 Fetaurettes Delves Into ‘The Making Of An Epic’

You just have to watch the trailers for Ridley Scott‘s Gladiator 2 to know that the film is going to be epic. As in the actual film, we’ll leave that for the review, Paramount Pictures has sent us 2 Featurettes that will delve into the ‘epicness’ we can expect.

Some cinephiles may still question if there was ever a need for a sequel to the 2000 Russell Crowe original. If there is a need for this sequel, why has it taken 24 years to be made? Whatever your opinion, we’re only just over 4 weeks away from this arriving in our cinemas.

The first Featurette is entitled ‘Making Of An Epic‘, where the cast and crew chat about all things Gladiator 2. A taster of the epic scale  of the film.

When making an ‘epic film’, the second Featurette, you need a great score. This new promo is called ‘Scoring An EpicRidley Scott and film composer Harry Gregson-Williams chat about the music we will experience during the film.

From legendary director Ridley Scott, Gladiator II continues the epic saga of power, intrigue, and vengeance set in Ancient Rome. Years after witnessing the death of the revered hero Maximus at the hands of his uncle, Lucius (Paul Mescal) is forced to enter the Colosseum after his home is conquered by the tyrannical Emperors who now lead Rome with an iron fist. With rage in his heart and the future of the Empire at stake, Lucius must look to his past to find strength and honour to return the glory of Rome to its people.

Gladiator 2 will be released in UK and Irish cinemas from 15th November. The film stars Paul Mescal, Pedro Pascal, Joseph Quinn, Denzel Washington, Fred Hechinger, Lior Raz, Peter Mensah, Derek Jacobi, and Connie Nielsen.
