Watch New Swashbuckling Trailer For The Witcher: Nightmare Of The Wolf Anime

Life as a Witcher ain’t easy and fans of Netflix’s ever popular fantasy series The Witcher are eagerly excited. The series universe will be getting a lot bigger later this month when The Witcher: Nightmare Of The Wolf is launched and today Netflix release a new swashbuckling Trailer for the anime.

With several spin-off projects on the cards and off course season 2 of the main series coming in December. What better time to go back and explore The Witchers origins and Vesemir (voiced by Theo James) who would become a mentor to Geralt of Rivia. This new Trailer showcases The Witcher that would mentor Vesemir as well as roughly follow the storyline in the series novels. Amazing to think Geralt is treated as a ‘monster’ in this film they are more like heroes, so what went wrong?

The world of The Witcher expands in this anime origin story: Before Geralt, there was his mentor Vesemir — a swashbuckling young witcher who escaped a life of poverty to slay monsters for coin. But when a strange new monster begins terrorizing a politically-fraught kingdom, Vesemir finds himself on a frightening adventure that forces him to confront the demons of his past.

The film is written and produced by Beau DeMayo and co-produced by ‘The Witcher’ Showrunner and Executive Producer Lauren Schmidt Hissrich and Studio Mir’s Kwang Il Han who is also directing.

The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf premieres worldwide on  23rd August.
