Watch The Gritty New Crimes Of The Future Trailer!

Later this month David Cronenberg‘s return to body horror will happen and today Neon Pictures reveal the full (U.S) red band trailer for Crimes Of The Future. Fans of the veteran Canadian filmmaker will adore the disturbingly delightful gritty new promo which they don’t hold back on anything.

What we’ll say first, this is NO remake of the the director’s 1970’s film of the same name. This one stars Viggo Mortensen, Lea Seydoux and Kristen Stewart. In the near future pain seems to have been eliminated, performance artist Saul (Mortensen) is a big celebrity. He publicly showcases his metamorphosis of his organs, whilst finding himself under investigation by Timlin (Stewart) who obsessively tracks his and his wife (Seydoux) every move.

You get a taster of a few of the shocking moments, pardon the expression no skin left unturned! The prospect of David Cronenberg back in the sub genre he helped to create and shape is mouth watering!

As the human species adapts to a synthetic environment, the body undergoes new transformations and mutations. With his partner Caprice (Léa Seydoux), Saul Tenser (Viggo Mortensen), a celebrity performance artist in this future, publicly showcases the metamorphosis of his organs in avant-garde performances. Timlin (Kristen Stewart), an investigator from the National Organ Registry, obsessively tracks their movements, which is when a mysterious group is revealed… Their mission – to use Saul’s notoriety to shed light on the next phase of human evolution.

The film also stars  Scott Speedman Welket Bungué ,Don McKellar, Lihi Kornowski, Tanaya Beatty, Nadia Litz, Yorgos Karamichos, and Yorgos Piropoulos.

We still don’t have details on who and when Crimes of The Future will be released in the UK or Ireland. Neon Pictures are set to release the film in the U.S from 10th June.
